The Path, In Order

1
Get Your State License
Health / accident line

Pass your state's health insurance licensing exam (pre-licensing course + state test). This is your foundation — every state you sell in needs a license (non-resident licenses come later).

2
AHIP Certification
Annual · each summer

The industry-standard Medicare training. Renewed every year before AEP; nearly every Medicare Advantage and Part D carrier requires it.

3
Carrier Certifications
Annual · per carrier

Each carrier adds its own product certification on top of AHIP. Which ones matter in your market? That's exactly what our carrier playbooks map for you.

4
E&O Coverage
Before appointments

Errors-and-omissions insurance — carriers require proof before appointing you. Inexpensive, essential, and we'll point you to options.

5
Contracts & Appointments
Days, via your FMO

This is where NovaVida comes in: we hold the contracts, open the appointments — including hard-to-get and state-exchange markets — and you keep your book and hierarchy.

What the FMO Actually Does for You

Contracts across a 145-carrier directory · per-state commission tables (figures unlock once contracted) · state-exchange certifications most FMOs skip · certification-season checklists in the Learning Lab · a real back office (VOD) for licensing, compliance and commission reconciliation · leads from a 50-site consumer network.

Already Licensed? Skip to the Good Part.

If you hold a license today, contracting takes days, not weeks — and AEP prep starts the moment your certifications clear. Tell us where you write and we'll map which carriers and state exchanges to add first: 561-339-0727.

Licensing requirements vary by state and rules change — verify current requirements with your state department of insurance and each carrier's certification portal. We walk contracted agents through every step.
